Deepika Padukone, one of India’s most popular actresses, recently revealed a behind-the-scenes secret about the filming of her hit movie “Besharam.” In an interview with a popular Indian entertainment website, she revealed that the iconic song-and-dance sequence in the film, which was set in a picturesque outdoor location, was actually filmed during freezing temperatures.
According to Padukone, the crew and cast had to brave temperatures as low as 4 degrees Celsius (about 39 degrees Fahrenheit) while filming the sequence. Despite the challenging conditions, she said that the team was determined to make the scene as perfect as possible.
“We were all bundled up in layers of warm clothing, but it was still so cold,” Padukone said. “But we didn’t let that affect our performance. We were focused on giving our best for the scene.”
The actress also praised the hard work and dedication of the entire team, from the director and choreographer to the dancers and extras. She said that everyone was determined to make the scene a success, despite the difficult conditions.
“It was definitely a tough shoot, but we all pulled together and made it happen,” Padukone said. “I’m really proud of how it turned out and I’m glad that audiences have enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed making it.”
